Honda Motorcycles recently unveiled the CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition in the international market. While the standard motorcycle is already enticing the way it looks and would want to make a track day enthusiast purchase it, Honda has now amped up things with the Carbon Edition. Let’s take a look at it.
The CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition is a limited edition offering and only 300 units will be made. It is draped in carbon fibre throughout and has a menacing black paint scheme. Contrasting it are the golden USD front forks and the red-coloured Honda badges.
The stealth paint scheme highlights the CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition’s cuts and creases and enhances the bike's visual appeal even more. Here are the carbon fibre parts it gets - rear hugger, winglets, airbox cover, front fender, middle cowl, under cowl, tank cover, and more.
Powering the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition is a 1000cc inline four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that makes nearly 215bhp and 113Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter.
The list of electronics on the CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition includes a fully digital instrument console, ABS modes, engine brake controls, ride modes, traction control levels, cornering ABS, launch control, and more. Not to mention, the CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition also gets an Akrapovic Titanium muffler.
The bike rides on top-spec Ohlins front USD forks and monoshock, both fully adjustable. Meanwhile, the brakes comprise dual 330mm front and a 220mm single rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 200/55 rear Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres.
The asking price for the Honda CBR1000RR-R SP Carbon Edition is GBP 23,499 (Rs. 25.91 lakh). However, it is unlikely to be launched in India.
