- X-ADV adventure scooter on the cards
- CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet also imminent
- Honda to bring them via the CBU route
Honda India is expected to launch as many as four new big bikes and an adventure-style maxi-scooter in India soon. An image of what is being perceived as a dealer presentation slide has been circulating on the internet which shows these five presumably India-bound products. The same has also been confirmed by some of our dealer sources.
The leaked image of the dealer presentation comprises the CB650R, CBR650R, CB1000 Hornet, CB750 Hornet, and the X-ADV. The most novel offering from these will be the X-ADV which is a big adventure-style scooter touted to be capable to take on any kind of terrain. This quintessential maxi-scooter will be the first of its kind to enter the Indian shores. It boasts muscular bodywork, long-travel suspension, cross-spoke wheels, and a 750cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 57.8bhp and 69Nm.
The CB750 Hornet will also be an exciting addition to Honda India’s Big Wing line-up. This is essentially the naked version of the Transalp 750 adventure motorcycle and is already available in select markets. It will compete against the likes of the Triumph Street Triple S, Aprilia Tuono 660, and Ducati Monster. The CB1000 Hornet will replace the retro-inspired CB1000R that has been absent from the Indian market for a couple of years now. The new Hornet, however, is a majorly revamped offering with more contemporary and sporty styling and multiple other updates. Meanwhile, the CB650R and CBR 650R were already available until two years back and Honda will now be bringing their latest 2025 iterations to our shores that are equipped with e-clutch.
These offerings are expected to hit Honda’s Big Wing showroom floors in the first quarter of 2025. Since they will come as CBU (completely built-up) products, expect Honda to demand a steep price for all of them.
