- CRF 190L Adventure design registered
- Mainly sold in China
- Gets engine from CB200X
Honda has decided to register the design of the CRF 190L Adventure motorcycle in India. This motorcycle is primarily sold in China by Honda Sundiro.
A few years ago, Honda India decided to patent and register its products and technologies. However, it doesn’t mean that the company plans to introduce these motorcycles and scooters in India. This route just protects the Japanese brand in case they come up with new product strategy for the country. This is why the CRF 190L Adventure won’t be launched in India, even though it looks like a perfect fit.
The CRF190L is powered by an 184cc engine – a version of this engine is seen on the Honda Hornet 2.0 and the CB200X that are sold in India. In the CRF, this motor churns out 15.5bhp of power and 15.7Nm of peak torque. One of the best aspects of this motorcycle is its power-to-weight ratio, thanks to a low kerb weight of 145kg.
We would love to see the CRF 190L Adventure in India, but Honda it’s the CB200X – a so called adventure version of the CB Hornet in India. So the CRF 190L will be a distant dream for the Indian market.
