- Gets a new colour option
- Revised handguards available as stock
- Could be launched in India
Honda has updated its small-size adventure motorcycle, the CRF300L, for 2023 in the European market. Although the updates aren’t significant, we are intrigued by this particular model as the possibility of it entering the Indian shores is high. Interestingly, the motorcycle was spotted at a dealership in India in July this year.
Now, talking about the changes it has received, Honda has bestowed it with new black handguards which come as standard on the new-for-2023 Swift Gray paint scheme. It boasts orange decals on the fuel tank while the underseat panels and tail section are finished in white. This new colour variant will be sold alongside the existing Extreme Red trim which boasts Honda’s signature blue and white graphics.
Honda has left the CRF300L untouched on the mechanical front. It’s a quintessential ADV with a large 21-18-inch spoke wheel combination which is suspended by a premium Showa suspension setup. Adding to its off-road prowess is a high ground clearance of 244mm with an accessible seat height of 830mm. The most notable aspect of the CRF is its light kerb weight of 138kg which makes it substantially lighter than the Xpulse 200. Furthermore, powering the bike is a 296cc, liquid-cooled engine that makes 27.3bhp and 26.6Nm.
If Honda decides to launch CRF300L in India, it will go up against the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
