- Honda Cross Cub Puco Blue released
- Only 2000 units available
- Will go on sale from 22 July
Honda has announced the launch of the limited edition Cross Cub in the Japanese market. The update includes a new Puco Blue colour option. The trail bike is based on the Super Cub and will go on sale from 22 July this year. Only 2000 units will be made available of the same.
The Cross Cub gets a simple and lean design. It comes with features like an LED headlight, headlight guard, semi-block tyres and a rear carrier. The trail bike is priced at yen 3,41,000, which converts to Rs 2.29 lakh. It is also available in four more colour options like Classical White, Pearl Shining Yellow, Camouflage Green and Graphite Black. The Graphite Black colour is however a bit more expensive and retails at yen 3,52,000, which converts to Rs 2.36 lakh.
Powering the trail bike is a 109cc single-cylinder engine that produces 7.9bhp at 7,500rpm and 8.5Nm at 5,500rpm. All this power and torque is taken to the wheels via a four-speed gearbox. Furthermore, hardware includes a 4.3-litre fuel tank and telescopic forks at the front and swing arm type suspension at the rear. As of now, the scooter is available in Japan, and it's highly unlikely to enter the Indian market.
