- CT125 gets new colours
- Launched in Thailand
- No plans for India launch
Honda has introduced a range of new colours for its famous CT125. These new colours have been launched for the Thai market.
The CT125 is a small displacement motorcycle known for its low power but versatile and practical nature. It is quite famous in Southeast Asian markets like Thailand. While the specifications suggest that it is a city bike, there have been riders who use the CT125 to cover long distances. In fact, the Japanese brand went ahead and also developed various luggage options like top boxes and saddle bags. It is also now being repositioned as an aspirational two-wheeler brand.
The updated CT125 now is available in two new colours – Pearl Smoky Gray and Pearl Sugarcane Beige. These are full-production models and have already been seen in various Thai showrooms. Honda hasn’t increased the price of the CT125 and that’s a good thing.
Two-wheelers like CT125 do help Honda bring in new and young buyers into the brand. Its Indian arm tried to do it with the Navi a few years ago, however, it failed miserably. Since then, Honda India hasn’t experimented with new concepts or segments, and continues to focus primarily on mass-market scooters and motorcycles. It also focus on big bikes, which is quite appreciable, but most of the bikes are priced quite high, making it difficult for Indian buyers to even consider it.
