Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the new Dio 125 in our market. This scooter is available in two variants – Standard and Smart – and the prices start from Rs. 83,400 onwards.
What are the mechanical specifications of the new Honda Dio 125?
The new Honda Dio 125 is powered by an OBD2-compliant, 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power). This motor also benefits from a Honda ACG starter, improvised tumble flow, friction reduction and improved combustion, and solenoid valves. Notably, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is yet to reveal the power and torque output figures for the Dio 125. For reference, the existing 125cc engine on the Honda Grazia 125 delivers a maximum power and peak torque output of 8.14bhp and 10.3Nm, respectively.
What are the styling cues and colour options on the new Honda Dio 125?
The styling cues, similar to the 110cc Honda Dio, include a bold design. This comprises an apron-mounted headlight and front turn indicators, a sharp design for the body panels, a split-style pillion grabrail, and a dual outlet exhaust with a heat shield. This styling is complemented by fresh new graphics and a bold logo. Meanwhile, the colour palette comprises seven options – Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red.
What are the features of the new Honda Dio 125?
Both variants of the Honda Dio 125 pack feature an LED headlight, idling stop system, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, and a combined braking system. Then, the Smart Key variant benefits from H-Smart technology and packs features such as smart find, keyless start, and security functions.
What hardware does the new Honda Dio 125 use?
The suspension hardware on all variants includes telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable single rear spring. Then, the braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes, while the Smart variant benefits from a petal-type front disc brake. Further, both variants have an 18-litre under-seat storage and a front pocket.
What are the prices of the new Honda Dio 125?
The base model has been priced at Rs. 83,400, while the Smart variant is available at a premium, and has been listed at Rs. 91,300. Both variants are available with the special 10-year warranty package (three years standard and seven years optional extension).
