- New motorcycle likely to be based on Honda Hornet 2.0
- To be launched on 19 August, 2021
- Will feature a windscreen and a semi-fairing design
Honda 2Wheelers India has released a teaser video for a new tourer motorcycle that will reach our shores very soon. While the company has not revealed many details, the teaser video gives a brief glimpse at a few highlights of this upcoming motorcycle. The front fascia of the new model resembles the Honda Hornet 2.0, which leads us to believe that the touring-focussed motorcycle will be based on the roadster model from the Japanese two-wheeler brand.
The upcoming motorcycle, as seen in the teaser video, will feature an LED headlight and knuckle-guard integrated turn indicators at the front. The new model will also feature a tall windscreen and a semi-fairing design that will provide protection against windblasts. The motorcycle will also feature split-style seats and a two-piece pillion grab rail.
The underpinnings and cycle parts should remain similar to the Honda Hornet 2.0. Thus, the mechanical specifications should include a 184.4cc, single-cylinder engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 17.03bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm on the roadster. The hardware on the tourer, similar to the Hornet 2.0, should include upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, disc brakes on both ends, and 17-inch wheels.
This new motorcycle, as confirmed by Honda 2Wheelers India, will be launched on 19 August, 2021.
