Honda has introduced an updated version of its famous Super Cub series. This iconic brand has just hit the 100 million production mark making it the most popular two-wheeler ever built.
In order to celebrate this milestone, the Japanese manufacturer decided to update the Super Cub 110 and the Super Cub 50. Both the models get revised bodywork, making it look almost like the 1958 model. They are equipped with LED headlights and a revised instrument cluster making it more appealing. Honda is offering these models with its ‘Pro’ versions as well, which get a basket on the front, a larger luggage rack and smaller 14-inch wheels.
There are no changes to the powertrain. The Super Cub 110 and the Super Cub 50 continue to be powered by the same 109cc and 49cc air-cooled motors respectively. It is also one of the few two-wheelers from Japan to be equipped with drum brakes at the front and rear.
The Super Cub is a very strong brand. As a result, even Honda has used a part of its name in the EV-Cub electric bike that was unveiled in 2015. There are high chances that this production version of this EV will get the Super Cub name.
