- Powered by a 110cc single-cylinder engine
- Gets a smart key, LED illumination, and more
- Patented in India last year
Honda has launched its latest iteration of the Scoopy scooter in Indonesia. The model was patented in India a while back and here’s what we know about the Scoopy.
The Honda Scoopy gets a funky design with its apron-mounted oval headlight that houses an LED projector unit with an LED DRL on the periphery. The overall theme on this scooter is inclined towards a retro look with a dash of quirkiness.
Honda has powered this scooter with a 110cc single-cylinder motor dishing out 9bhp and 9.3Nm. This engine's bore and stroke values are similar to that of the Honda Activa. So, it won’t be a surprise if the two use the same powerhouse. Honda also offers a smart key alongside LED illumination with Scoopy. Other features include an analog console with a digital inset.
It rides on telescopic front forks and a single rear shock while the braking hardware includes a front disc and rear drum unit. The latter is linked to 12-inch alloys wrapped in 100/90 front and 110/90 rear tyres. The Scoopy weighs 95kg and gets a 4.2-litre fuel tank.
In Indonesia, it’s priced at Rs 2,16,53,000 (approximately Rs 1.17 lakh sans taxes). Even though it’s patented in India, we don’t expect Honda India to launch the scoopy here anytime soon.
