- To be sold through a live auction at the motor show
- Created in collaboration with H2C Design
To the amazement of visitors at the Bangkok International Motor Show, Honda took the wraps off the profoundly fancy Star Wars edition of its popular mini bike, the Monkey. As the name suggests, the bike takes visual inspiration from the world-famous movie franchise, Star Wars.
The Japanese bike maker unveiled two iterations of the Monkey Star Wars edition called Dark Side Monkey and Light Side Monkey. The former boasts a blacked-out theme with bold ‘Star Wars’ branding on the fuel tank and subtle chrome accents which neatly complement the dark look. The latter, meanwhile, gets a bolder dual-tone colour combination of white and grey on the fuel tank with blue side covers and blue handlebar grips. The ‘Star Wars’ branding on the fuel tank glows in the dark on this variant.
Every unit of the Honda Monkey Star Wars comes with a fascinating pack of goodies which includes Star Wars LED light box, a light saber LED lamp, a Star Wars pilot jacket, and a keychain. Co-created by Cub House Honda and H2C Design, the Monkey Star Wars edition will be available in limited numbers, just 150 units of each variant, to be precise. In fact, a select number of bikes will be delivered through a live, on-site auction at the motor show on 7 April, 2024. Registrations for the auction have already begun on 27 March.
