Apart from introducing new products, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will also set up a comprehensive charging network in our market. The company said in its press statement that it would install charging stations across the existing 6,000+ network touchpoints.

The manufacturer will eventually transform some of these outlets into Workshop ‘E’. This exclusive setup will house HEID battery exchangers and mini battery exchangers for swappable battery type and charging cables for fixed battery type. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer also added that it plans to leverage the overall ecosystem, including Battery swapping stations at petrol pumps, metro stations, and other locations, to provide charging solutions to its customers.

The company added that the Narsapura Plant in Karnataka will exclusively focus on the production of electric vehicles. These electric vehicles will utilise domestically manufactured components such as batteries and PCU. Further, the motor for the electric vehicles will be designed and produced in-house by Honda.
