- Displacement details not revealed
- Documents confirm V-type arrangement
- Used on a retro-style roadster in patent images
Leaked patent images have revealed a new, V-twin engine powered Honda naked roadster. While the patent document does not reveal the displacement of the engine, it confirms a V-type arrangement. A retro-style motorcycle is built around the engine, but Honda could apply it in different segments.
The patent was filed in February 2018, although we haven’t heard any details about a new product that will use a V-twin motor. The company already uses V-twin motor for its Shadow Phantom and Fury cruiser motorcycle.
The Coronavirus pandemic will most likely affect the arrival of any such model, and we may not hear any announcement at least in 2020.
Apart from the V-twin engine-powered naked roadster, Honda is also working on an inline four-cylinder motor-powered sports-ADV-tourer. The motorcycle was revealed through patent images that were filed with the European Intellectual Property Office.
