- Honda NX200 India launch on 19 August, 2021
- Likely to be based on the Honda Hornet 2.0
- Will feature LED headlight and dual-purpose tyres
Honda 2Wheelers India has released another teaser of its upcoming, entry-level tourer motorcycle, which is expected to be called the NX200. The company will launch the new model in our market on 19 August, 2021. The launch is scheduled to commence from 11:55 AM onwards.
The new teaser video gives a brief glimpse at various features of this upcoming motorcycle. The feature list on the touring-focussed motorcycle will include an LED headlight, a tinted windscreen at the front, knuckle-guard integrated front turn indicators, a tall-set handlebar, split-style seat, petal-type disc brakes on both wheels, and dual-purpose tyres.
While the details are scarce, the new motorcycle could be based on the Honda Hornet 2.0 roadster which is already available for sale in the Indian market. Thus, the new NX200 could use upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and single discs on both wheels.
The mechanical specifications on the Hornet 2.0 include a 184.4cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 17.03bhp at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. We could see similar numbers on the NX200.
