- Patent filed in India along with the Vario 160
- Already on sale in Europe
- Unlikely to debut anytime soon
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSCI) has filed a patent application for its off-road maxi-scooter, the ADV350. The scooter is already on sale in the international market and here’s what you should know about it.
The Honda ADV350 is a muscular-looking scooter with a fairly tall stance. It first debuted at the EICMA 2021 and was later on launched in various markets. The styling comes off a mix of practicality along with aesthetics.
It draws power from the same motor as the Forza 350 – a 330cc liquid-cooled motor developing 28.8bhp and 31.5Nm. Not to mention, it also comes equipped with 2-level torque control.
The Honda ADV350 is suspended on USD telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. The braking hardware comprises a front and rear disc with dual-channel ABS. Honda has also thrown in smartphone connectivity as well as the voice control system.
In the UK, the Honda ADV350 retails at GBP 5,699 (approximately Rs 5.55 lakh excluding taxes). That’s a pretty steep asking price for a scooter in India. We think HMSCI has filed the patent just for the sake of reservation and has no plans to bring the ADV350 to India anytime soon.
