- Honda Racing India team bags 22 points
- Rajiv Sethu ranks 14th overall
- Senthil Kumar is at 21st position
Idemitsu Honda Racing India is all set to compete in round four of the 2019 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). After completing the first three rounds, the team secured a place in the top seven list by gaining 22 points. Representing the team are a pair of young racers including 21-year-old Rajiv Sethu along with 18-year-old Senthil Kumar. Honda Racing India is competing in the Asia Production 250 class and the fourth round is set to be held at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan this weekend.
Talking about the racers, Rajiv Sethu will be competing in ARRC for the third time while Senthil Kumar has made his debut this year. Rajiv had finished at the 28th spot after his debut in 2017. Coincidently, the following year also saw him securing the same spot owing to a crash in which he sustained a wrist fracture. Currently, Rajiv’s overall ranking is settled at 14th position in the competition. Meanwhile, despite competing in the ARRC for the first time, Senthil Kumar has been putting up a great show and stands at 21st position in the overall ranking. Notably, both the racers had competed in the four-hours Suzuka endurance race earlier this month because of which both are confident.
The Asia Production 250cc class of the 2019 ARRC consists of 25 top riders from Asian countries including Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Taipei while it has also witnessed seven wild card entries this year.
