Honda 2Wheelers India has unveiled the NSF250R Moto3 race bike along with the announcement of a separate category for this motorcycle - the IDEMITSU NSF250R Talent Cup 2019. Honda has selected eight riders for this competition who have been shortlisted from last year’s Honda India Talent Hunt event. The list of riders include Sarthak Shrikant Chava, Kavin Samaar Quintal, Geoffrey, Mohammed Mikhail, S Varoon, Mohsin, Charan T and Kritik Habib. The main objective of this competition is ‘to develop an iconic Indian rider for National and International Championships.’
Besides the unveiling of the race bike, Honda 2Wheelers India has also announced a comprehensive plan for its motorsports division for 2019. The company has announced the debut of its team, the Honda Ten10 Racing, in the ProStock 200cc-300cc category of the Indian National Racing Championship (INMRC) 2019. The selected riders for this category are Sarath Kumar, Anish Shetty and Abhishek Vasudev. Meanwhile, Honda also unveiled the race-spec CBR250R machine astride which the riders will be competing.
Announcing its fifth-time entry into the 165cc ProStock category of the INMR 2019, Honda also unveiled the race-prepped CBR150R for the competition. The group of three team riders who will be battling it out in this class include B Aravind, Yashas R.L and K Kannan. With the announcement of the riders for the INMR 2019, the company says it is aiming to lead all the classes of the competition this year.
Moving on, Honda Racing India will be also be organising the IDEMITSU Talent Hunt 2019 for the aspiring young racers. This event will be held in five cities across India. The age bracket for the participants has been set from 13 to 17 years.
