- Gets traction control for added safety
- Twin exhaust setup makes way for a single-sided unit
- Gets new brake pads and more
Chinese two-wheeler maker, Benda motorcycles has launched the updated version of its 300cc cruiser. Christened as the Benda BD300, the bike has been updated on a few fronts.
For 2022, Benda has equipped the BD300 with a traction control system for amped-up safety. The 298cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor makes 30bhp and 25.3Nm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox linked to a belt-drive system. The BD300 retains the slipper clutch.
It’s also carried over the LED illumination. Meanwhile, the instrument cluster has been enlarged by 36 percent. The digital screen houses a gear position indicator, clock, tachometer, fuel gauge and other readouts.
The suspension setup consists of USD front forks and dual rear shocks. Meanwhile, the braking hardware comprises a single disc at the front and rear but with new brake pads. The BD300 is equipped with 16-inch alloys shoed to 130/150 (front/rear) tyres.
Benda priced the previous iteration of the BD300 at around CNY 19,980 (approximately Rs 2.32 lakh). And considering the latest updates, the asking price could see a small jump. With that being said, Benda has no intentions of entering the Indian motorcycle market anytime soon.
However, there are other cruisers available in India in the same segment. For instance, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Yezdi Cruiser, and the recently launched Keeway K-Light 250.
