- Honda sells 3.12 lakh units in February
- 31 per cent decline in domestic sales
- Recently patented CRF190L in India
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have registered a total sale of 3.12 lakh scooters and motorcycles in February 2022. However, that is a decline of 29 per cent compared to Feb’21 wherein it sold 4.42 lakh units.
In India, Honda managed to sell 2.85 lakh units last month; a 31 per cent drop against the 4.11 lakh motorcycles and scooters sold in the same period last year. That said, the brand’s exports reported a decline too. While it exported 31,118 units in February 2021, Honda sold 26,944 units overseas last month.
Nonetheless, there seems to be something big brewing in the Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer. It recently filed design patents for the CBR150R and the CRF190L while confirming that the company is looking to focus more on the 150cc segment in the country.
