- Honda sells more than 3.85 lakh units in July
- Records 66 per cent growth over June 2021
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India witnessed significant growth in the month of July, as stated in its sales report. The Indian arm of the Japanese bike maker sold over 3.85 lakh units of two-wheelers last month. This includes 3,40,133 domestic dispatches and 45,400 units exported. The resultant hike in its sales over June 2021 stood at an impressive 66 per cent. Notably, Honda didn’t reveal the data related to its year-on-year progress.
Honda stated that it has been witnessing a huge amount of enquiries for scooters followed by motorcycles as a majority of its dealers across India have started re-opening their stores. The company expects sales to grow further owing to favourable monsoon in certain parts of India, demand for personal mobility, and the festive season being around the corner.
In other news related to Honda, the company recently sent out a teaser video of one of its upcoming motorcycles. It is likely to be an adventure touring motorcycle based on the existing Hornet 2.0 naked street bike. The teaser shows a headlamp identical to that of the Hornet but accompanied by a tall windscreen and knuckle guards. Engine, meanwhile, is likely to be the same as its naked sibling. We’ll know all the details about this new bike on 19 August during its official unveiling.
