- Honda dispatches over 4 lakh two-wheelers in August 2020
- Sales grow by 38 per cent over July 2020
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sold over 4 lakh two-wheelers in the month of August 2020 and registered a growth of one per cent as compared to the corresponding month last year. Total sales of the manufacturer stood at 4,43,969 units, which included domestic dispatches of 4,28,231 units and exports of 15,738 units.
As compared to July 2020 sales, the company witnessed a staggering growth of 38 per cent last month. After the sales were severely hit in April and May due to the COVID-19-led nationwide lockdown, Honda has been witnessing a consistent rise since June 2020 when dispatches stood at 2.20 lakh followed by 3.09 lakh in July 2020.
In other news, Honda recently entered the 180-200cc motorcycle segment with the new Hornet 2.0 which is the successor to the CB Hornet 160R. Besides the larger engine, it features more aggressive and sportier styling along with premium elements such as full-LED lighting and upside down forks. Honda has priced the Hornet 2.0 at Rs 1,26,345 (ex-showroom, Gurgaon).
