- Honda CBF190TR special edition launched in China
- Gets a few cosmetic add-ons
- India launch unlikely in the near future
Honda has taken the wraps off the new special edition model of its CBF190TR neo-retro offering in China. With an aim to add more oomph to the bike, Honda has equipped it with a few upgrades that are mostly cosmetic.
The special edition carries the TR93 suffix that adorns its fuel tank and side panels. It comes dipped in a grey paint scheme with red accents on the fuel tank, red rim takes on wheels and brown coloured seat. It also sports a small fly screen on the front which adds to its old-school appeal. The CBF190TR is also impressive in terms of features with full-LED lighting, negative blue-backlit LCD screen, a single-channel ABS setup and a charging port.
Powering the CBF190TR is a 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is the same unit that’s employed in the Hornet 2.0 available in India. It churns out 16.8bhp of power and 16.3Nm of peak torque. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by upside down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from a single disc at both ends.
Although Honda won’t launch the CBF190TR in India anytime soon, what we have here is the Hornet 2.0 that goes up against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200.
