- Honda to introduce five new motorcycles in its premium BigWing portfolio

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the expansion plan for its premium retail outlet, Honda BigWing, in India. In the next fiscal year, the Japanese bike maker will expand its current portfolio of 7 premium motorcycles to 13 models, which will consists of five all-new products. Besides that, the existing bikes will also get all the updates which have been introduced on their international-spec counterparts.
Honda has also given confirmation about the arrival of 2020 models of three motorcycles from EICMA 2019. Firstly, the company will introduce the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade and its homologation-special SP version. The sportsbike has been majorly updated in all aspects for 2020. The Japanese bike maker will also launch the new CRF 1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports along with the litre-class naked, the CB1000R, which has received minor cosmetic tweaks for the coming year.
In order to make its select premium motorcycles substantially more affordable, Honda has also stated that it will start manufacturing them locally. Currently, all the models sold through BigWing either come via CKD or CBU route. Furthermore, for increasing the accessibility of its premium retail outlet for the Indian buyers, Honda will also drastically expand its BigWing dealership reach. While these outlets are currently established in 23 cities across India, the company aims to ramp it up to 75 cities in the country.
