- Honda is developing another 350cc bike
- Likely to rival Hunter 350
- Will be the 3rd bike in the line-up
Honda plans to expand its 350cc line-up by launching a new motorcycle soon. This development was revealed during Honda’s EV line-up event.
The Japanese brand wants to have more motorcycles in the 350cc class to help get more market share. Currently, the brand sells the CB350 and the CB350RS. But sadly, these bikes aren’t selling the way it was expected to.
According to our Honda dealer sources, they have been finding it difficult to push the CB350 to its customers since the launch of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. This motorcycle has managed to gain massive attention from Indian consumers, due to which the overall footfall for the CB350 has gone down considerably. As a result, the demand for the CB350 range has decreased over the last few months.
Honda would want to develop and launch an affordable version of the CB350 platform. Currently, the BigWing dealers get most of their sales from the CB350 range, and the drop in sales volume could hurt them. Currently, the CB350 is priced at Rs 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), whereas the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is close to Rs 70,000 cheaper, making it an enticing motorcycle.
