- New Honda adventure bike under development
- Will rival Royal Enfield Himalayan
- Likely to be launched in 2025
Honda is working on a new adventure bike that will go against the famous Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The brand has already applied to register its design for this adventure bike.
This is the first time Honda has shown its interest in foraying into the world of entry-level adventure bikes. The company is building this new ADV on the CB350 platform and from the looks of it, it is clear that it takes some design inspiration from the Himalayan. The overall silhouette has some resemblance but the final pictures of the product could say something else.
In terms of the powertrain, this new adventure bike is likely to be built around the same chassis as the CB350. Plus, the 350cc, air-cooled engine is also likely to power this Honda ADV. However, the state of tune and the gear ratios could be different.
The Japanese brand has also patented the front fairing of the motorcycle. This design helps to add a protective structure, which extends to the headlamp unit. The side structure also provides spaces to mount storage boxes, as seen on the Himalayan.
Currently, there are no launch details for this new Honda ADV, but we can expect it to hit the market by 2025. Like its CB series, this new adventure bike will be made in India and sold in a few other international markets.
