- New Click 160 scooter launched in Thailand
- Rivals Yamaha Aerox 155
- India launch unlikely
Honda has taken the wraps off their new scooter – the Click 160. This is a sporty scooter and has been developed for markets in Asia like Thailand.
The Click 160 replaces its 150cc variant and gets some new additions and features. The overall styling has got a bit aggressive –something Honda likes to do with its bigger scooters. The fascia gets sharp and a bit pointy body panels. It gets new alloy wheels that compliment the overall styling.
In terms of performance, the Click 160 gets a revised 157cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor. This motor churns out a healthy 15bhp and is mated to a CVT gearbox. With such a performance number, it is clear that the Click 160 could be extremely fun and zippy to ride around city traffic. Interestingly, the Japanese brand has made this engine compatible with ethanol. The fuel mixture can take up to 20 percent ethanol.
The Click 160 gets some practical features. It gets a long single-seat, decent under-seat storage, a smart key ignition, and USB charging facilities. The instrument cluster is premium with all the fully digital setup.
The new Honda Click 160 rivals scooters like the Yamaha Aerox 155. But sadly, this scooter might not make its way to India ever as the company doesn’t believe in launching premium scooters in the country.
