- Honda SC e: Concept unveiled
- Gets a 2.6kWh motor
- Could be production-ready in 2024
Honda has unveiled the SC e: electric scooter concept at the ongoing Tokyo Motor Show, which is also known as the Japan Mobility Show.
Now, the futuristic-looking concept has a design similar to the Activa-i that was sold in India a few years ago. It is sharp yet curvy and comes with full LED lighting all around along with the blue highlights that are associated with concept motorcycles. That said, the only technical detail of the EM1 e: we know is that it is powered by two removable batteries with a total capacity of around 2.6kWh.
But by the looks of it, the scooter gets telescopic forks and a mono-shock for damping duties whereas braking hardware comprises a disc/drum setup with 12-inch wheels. While Honda has not revealed any plans for production, we can expect the concept to make it to international markets by the end of 2024. However, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon. Instead, we can expect the manufacturer to launch the electric Activa sometime early next year.
