- Spotted with AR registration plate
- Not officially listed on the Honda India website
- Could be launched later this year
The Honda X-ADV 750 has been spotted in Mumbai in a rather rare sighting. While the Japanese maxi-scooter isn’t officially listed or on sale in the Indian market, the one spotted here is registered too with an AR license plate. But this one seems like a private import, and here is what you should know about it.
The Honda X-ADV 750 is a proper maxi-scooter with ADV manners. It is tall, muscular, purposeful, and looks swanky. The model has been on sale in the international market for a long time and is preferred for commuting and short-distance touring. The X-ADV gets a split LED headlight, transparent visor, handlebar guard, and angular bodywork with sharp cuts and creases. In typical ADV fashion, the Honda scooter gets an upswept exhaust.
Powering the Honda X-ADV is a 745cc parallel-twin engine that makes 57.7bhp and 69Nm. It benefits from a six-speed DCT setup mated to a chain drive. Honda has equipped the X-ADV with features including all LED illumination, a five-inch TFT, smartphone connectivity, cruise control, ride modes - sport, standard, rain, gravel, and user, and ABS.
The X-ADV rides on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear crossed spoke wheels wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres. It benefits from 41mm separate function USD forks at the front and a linked rear shock. The X-ADV’s breaking hardware comprises a dual 296mm front and a single 240mm rear disc.
In the UK, the Honda X-ADV is priced at GBP 11,249 (approximately Rs. 12.10 lakh sans taxes). If Honda does get the scooter to India, we expect it to be just as expensive or more.
