- Honda XRE 300 launched in Brazil
- Gets a 291cc, single-cylinder motor
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Honda has launched the 2021 XRE 300 adventure-touring motorcycle in Brazil at a price that converts to Rs 2.90 lakh. And unlike the recently launched CB200X, the XRE 300 is a proper dual-sport motorcycle. It rides on spoked wheels; 21-inch at the front and 18-inch at the rear with the suspension setup offering an impressive 245mm of travel for the front and 225mm travel at the rear.
The Honda XRE 300 also sports a styling that defines its abilities like the beak integrated into the semi-fairing and a high-set exhaust. However, in a bid to keep things uncomplicated, Honda has equipped the XRE 300 with full-LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster.
The 2021 Honda XRE 300 comes powered by a 291cc, single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled and capable of churning out 25bhp and 27Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. The XRE also boasts of a low kerb weight of 148kg. In comparison, the Hero Xpulse 200 weighs 157kg. Now, Honda had filed patents for the XRE 300 in India back in 2017. And while the motorcycle is an incredibly attractive proposition, it is unlikely to make its way to our country anytime soon.
