- NT1100 sports tourer almost ready
- Based on Africa-Twin
- Will get DCT variant
A couple of months ago, we told you about Honda’s plan of bringing in a sports tourer based on Africa Twin platform. Looks like this motorcycle is almost ready for launch.
According to European type-approval documents, the NT1100 is likely to launch this year. The same documents revealed a few coded language. It was titled ‘SC’, where S stands for 900cc and above and C for street bike. There will be two versions – NT1100A and NT1100D. The former is likely to be a DCT variant whereas the latter could be a manual variant.
This new sports tourer is expected to use Africa Twin’s 1084cc parallel twin in 101hp motor. Some more specs like 1535mm wheelbase and 2240mm overall length were also revealed in those documents. The bike is likely to tip the scale at 238kg. The DCT variant is bound to weigh more.
We are expecting Honda to unveil the NT1100 in the next few months and yes, the bike will definitely come to India. But expect that to happen sometime next year.
