Honda’s January sales down by 20 per cent

- Honda sales decrease by 20 per cent

- Relaunched CB300R

Honda India has announced its January sales. Its overall two-wheeler sales have gone down by 20 per cent.

The company sold 3,54,209 units last month as compared to 4,37,183 units in the same month in 2021. Out of total sales, 3,15,196 units were sold in India whereas the rest of the 39,013 units were exported. Interestingly, the export market registered almost double growth last month. The Japanese brand sold 20,467 units in January 2021.

Honda doesn’t reveal model-wise sales figure but majority of the sales come from Activa and the CB Shine brands. Last month, it also launched the CB300R and the CB650R – all at a pricing that makes it difficult to justify. The brand usually has taken this approach for almost all bikes that is sold through its BigWing network.
