- Gets improved seat cushion
- Handlebar position has been tweaked
- LCD is now legible with enhanced brightness
Honda has updated the Rebel 500, which is also known as CMX500, for 2025 in the international markets. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 rival has been updated in terms of looks, features, and comfort.
Starting with the visual change, the overall bodywork has remained unaltered but Honda has introduced a new Matt Dim Metallic Grey colour option for the standard and S variants of the bike. The S trim, meanwhile, has also received the Candy Energy Orange paint scheme for 2025. The Rebel continues to boasts it signature stance with chunky tyres, a short handlebar, and the fuel tank aggressively swooping downward towards the rear and blending in with a scooped-out seat.
To enhance comfort, Honda has incorporated a new urethane foam material for the seat along with a tweaked handlebar position. Minor alterations have been given to the rear suspension as well for more optimised shock absorption. Lastly, the LCD screen of the 2025 Rebel 500 is improved in terms of brightness and thereby legibility.
Powering the CMX500 Rebel is the same 471cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 46bhp and 43.3Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. It rides on 16-inch cast aluminium wheels that are suspended by telescopic forks and dual springs. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends with Nissin callipers and dual-channel ABS.
