- Blue backlit digital console revealed
- Could be a 125cc or a bigger scooter
- Official launch date to be announced soon
Honda has been teasing one of its upcoming products which, as hinted by the teasers, is a sporty scooter. After the previous video gave a glimpse of its headlamp and exhaust shield, the latest teaser has revealed a few more details.
The new video released by Honda mainly focuses on the exhaust note, colour scheme and instrument cluster of the upcoming scooter. The latter is a modern-looking, blue-backlit fully-digital console which comprises a tachometer, an unusual element amongst scooters. This is a clear indication of it being a sporty, performance-oriented scooter. Moreover, the console shows the speed in numeric form along with the indication of the side stand being engaged.
The paint scheme of the two-wheeler is also visible in the video. It boasts a dual-tone combination of blue and grey bodywork with yellow accents. To give it a sporty look, we can also observe carbon-fibre finishing in some areas and honeycomb-style graphics. Furthermore, the video gives away the throaty exhaust note of the scooter. While we believe this is a 125cc offering, Honda might surprise us with something bigger, perhaps in the 150-160cc range.
As of now, Honda’s international 160cc scooter portfolio includes the PCX 160 maxi scooter, Vario 160 sporty scooter, and ADV 160 adventure-styled offering. However, Honda might not bring any of these to our country and bring something specifically made for the Indian market, considering the price sensitivity involved. The official launch date of this product will be announced soon. Stay tuned till then.
