Hop Electric has announced the launch of the OXO electric motorcycle in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 1.25 lakh. The new electric motorcycle will be sold in two variants – Standard and X. The base model is priced at Rs 1.25 lakh while the more premium version is listed at Rs 1.40 lakh (prices include FAME-2 benefits).
Both variants get a five-inch display with an IP67 rating, a 3.75kW battery pack, multimode regenerative braking, 4G connectivity, and a dedicated mobile application. This smartphone application provides access to features such as speed control, geo fencing, anti-theft system, and ride-stats. The base variant gets three ride modes – Eco, Power, and Sport – while the X version benefits from an additional Turbo mode. The OXO X is claimed to achieve a top speed of 90kmph while the 0-40kmph acceleration time stands at 4 seconds.
The battery pack of the OXO electric motorcycle is claimed to deliver a real-world range of 150km per charge while the charging time (0-80 per cent) is said to take 4 hours. Ketan Mehta, founder and CEO, Hop Electric, said in the press statement that the company’s dealer partners have gathered 5,000 pre-launch registrations.
The new Hop OXO electric motorcycle is available for sale at the company’s experience centre and via its website.
