- Husqvarna electric vehicles to be launched in 2022
- E-scooter will get a 4kW motor
- Electric motorcycle will come in two motor options
Similar to most of the major brands, Husqvarna too is gradually moving towards electrification. The Swedish bike maker recently revealed the E-Pilen concept and the image of the e-scooter was also leaked back in September 2020. Now, the latest presentation released by Pierer Mobility AG has confirmed that both these electric vehicles will be launched by 2022.
The presentation mentions that both the products are under development at present. It also comprises the rating of their electric motors. While the scooter will be available only with a 4kW motor, the electric motorcycle will come with the option of a 4kW and a 10kW motor. Both these electric Huskies are likely to be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan facility, as do the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 that are available in the Indian market.
We have also got a glimpse of the design these two EVs will feature. The recent E-Pilen clearly carries the same styling cues as its existing ICE-powered siblings with a round headlamp, a boxy fuel tank with bulges and a petite tail section. The scooter will also boast a similar edgy styling that looks quite distinctive in the picture so far. As is the case with the existing Huskies, these two EVs will also incorporate modern features like full-LED, digital console and much more.
