- Husqvarna Norden 901 spied
- To be based on KTM 890 Adventure
- Launch likely by end of 2021
Husqvarna Motorcycles showcased the Norden 901 concept at the 2019 EICMA. Now, the adventure motorcycle has been spotted out in the open in near production-ready form.
The styling of the Norden 901 does not stray far from the concept. It sports a circular and flat, full-LED headlamp flanked by what looks like auxiliary lights that give it a stubby look. Then there are large side panels and a slim tank. And since the Husqvarna Norden 901 will be based on the KTM 890 Adventure, it features two-part fuel tanks that are placed lower down for a low center of gravity. Although the units on the Husky are more streamlined compared to the bulging fuel tanks on the KTM.
Furthermore, the tail section also seems to be slightly different from the Norden 901 concept. Underneath its bodywork, the Husqvarna Norden 901 is likely to come powered by the same 898cc, parallel-twin engine as the KTM 890 Adventure. And if reports are to be believed, the Norden 901 could also come with the Radar cruise control system.
Now, we can expect Husqvarna to globally launch the Norden 901 by the end of this year. However, it is unlikely to make its way to India anytime soon.
