- Looks ready for production
- Test mule equipped with KTM brake and wheel setup
- Spotted with touring accessories
Apart from the recently spotted KTM test mules, the upcoming Husqvarna Vitpilen 125 has also made another appearance out in the open. The test mule looks ready for production and was seen sporting quite a few different bits than normal. Let’s have a look at it.
Husqvarna has equipped the test mule with a round LED headlight featuring an LED bezel. It’s flanked by LED turn indicators and topped by a transparent visor. The test bike also gets plastic handlebar guards similar to what KTM offers on its Duke and Adventure range and a slightly larger front fender as well. While the latter looks a tad polarising, you can expect the production model to have a more polished piece.
The updated model is likely to be powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that KTM uses. But its output figures could vary as per the state of tune that the Husqvarna would use for this bike. It’s likely to be mated with a five-speed gearbox.
Further, unlike the brand’s current 250cc offerings, the Vitpilen test mule gets a right-side mounted front disc. It’s evident that the alloy and braking setup has been borrowed from the new RC series. Even the WP USD front forks are similar to what the Austrian counterpart offers. The test mule is seen with saddle bags and a small top box (likely to store the testing equipment). This Husqvarna Vitpilen 125 test mule seems to be inching closer to production. But its chances of launching in India are bleak.
