Hyosung has revealed its newest model, the GV300S in international markets. The Korean manufacturer is aiming to compete against the Honda Rebel 300 with this motorcycle. Here we bring to you all the details you need to know about the new Hyosung GV300S.
Styling
Hyosung has styled the GV300S on the lines of American bobber motorcycles. With the curved tail section, blacked-out components, fat tyres, large air-filter box, circular headlamp, and turn signals the GV300S looks similar to the Harley-Davidson Iron 883.
Since the motorcycle has been developed for first-time buyers, it offers a low seat height of 710mm, and weighing 172kg, the GV300S is also one of the lightest in the segment.
Engine
The GV300S’ double-cradle frame houses a 296cc V-Twin engine. This fuel injected motor puts out 30bhp at 8500rpm and 25.6Nm at 6000rpm. It is paired to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.
Cycle Parts
Suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by 35mm telescopic forks up front and a pair of shock absorbers at the rear. Meanwhile, braking hardware consists of a 270mm disc for the front wheel and 250mm disc for the rear.
India launch details
Hyosung retails its motorcycles through Kinetic-owned Motoroyale in India. However, since none of its products comply with BS6 norms, the company hasn’t sold any motorcycles lately and there is no word from the Korean bikemaker about its plans for India yet. Nevertheless, if it does restart operations in the country, we can expect Hyosung to introduce the GV300S here.
