Hyosung recently unveiled the updated ST7 at the 2015 EICMA in Milan, Italy. The presence of reputed brands like Triumph and Harley-Davidson has been a major cause of trouble for the Korean manufacturer. However, with the new ST7, Hyosung will attempt to correct this by offering the bling of a traditional American cruiser and hopefully, a lucrative sticker price. The tear drop fuel tank is covered by a new two-tone paint job and the ‘ST7’ badge has been moved lower.
The low-slung split seats get a two-tone design and come with more padding to offer a cosier ride.
The swept back handlebar, mirrors, indicators and the round headlamp make liberal use of chrome.
The front fender gets a classic flowing design and a two-tone paint job inspired by traditional cruisers.
The twin slash cut exhaust pipes give the Hyosung ST7 its signature high bass growl.
The single-pod instrument console is positioned on the fuel tank, and integrates a small digital display.
The LED tail lamp and the bullet-shaped indicators enhance the Hyosung ST7’s retro quotient.
The brake setup is made of a 300mm single disk at the front and a 270mm single disc in the rear.
The new Hyosung ST7 will be launched in India in the second half of 2016. It will be available in three retro paint schemes - ultramarine, black, red and white.
