Kawasaki has launched the Z500 in Europe as its latest middleweight offering. It is priced at EUR 6,240 (approximately Rs. 5.27 lakh sans taxes) and here is what we know about the new Kawasaki Z500.
The Japanese bikemaker first showcased the Z500 at the EICMA 2024. It takes design inspiration from the larger Z models and hence sports a youthful bodywork. The Z500 looks muscular and the front profile appears to have the maximum visual mass. Then, there is a split seat setup as well along with a side-mounted exhaust.
Powering the new Z500 is a 451cc parallel-twin cylinder engine that makes about 45bhp and 42.6Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and nestled in a steel trellis frame. The said setup is suspended on telescopic front forks and monoshock. The brakes include a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The Kawasaki Z500 rides on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyre.
Kawasaki has offered a decent list of features as well on the Z500. It includes LED illumination, an LCD for the standard model, and a TFT for the SE trim along with smartphone connectivity. The latter offers navigation, ride statistics, and notification alerts for calls and SMS.
Kawasaki is offering the Z500 standard version in Metallic Spark Black while the Z500 SE can be bought in two colours – Candy Lime Green and Candy Persimmon Red. Kawasaki could launch the Z500 in India in the future.
