- Yamaha’s ADV motorcycle recalled in Europe
- Issue with faulty wiring
- Could be launched in India by 2025
Yamaha has issued a recall for its adventure-style motorcycle, the Tenere 700 World Raid in Europe after the European Commission’s Safety Gate published an issue with an improperly fit part on the motorcycle.
This part in question is a cable binder on the wiring harness of the left-side switchgear. While the filings mention the fitment to be ‘improper’ but do not specify why it is. Instead, the official filing indicates that this cable binder is a fancier version of a cable tie. Due to the faulty fitment, the turn indicators might not function when the rider toggles the switch, posing a safety hazard for the rider and traffic. The recall affects Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raids manufactured between 1 April 2022 and 31 July 2022.
Well, the Yamaha Tenere 700 or its World Raid version isn’t available in India now but we can expect the adventure motorcycle to make it here by 2025. We can also expect it to join the stables with the YZF-R7 and MT-07 which were recently showcased to dealers and media and are likely to make their debut in 2024. Exciting times ahead!
