- BSA Goldstar Italy launch in 2024
- Gets a 652cc, single-cylinder engine
- Could be launched in India next year
The BSA Goldstar is set to make its Italian debut sometime in 2024. It will be sold in that country through its collaboration with Peugeot Motorcycles.
Now, Mahindra and Mahindra, the owner of Classic Legends, which manufactures the Goldstar, was the former owner of Peugeot. Hence, it continues to have a share in the company, which is why we can see the company using the partnership for its distribution in Italy. Well talking about the BSA Goldstar, the motorcycle takes heavy inspiration from the the original model. So it gets a chrome-laden retro styling with a twin-pod instrument cluster, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and round headlamp. Even the rear end gets a flowy design that is retro-style.
Powering the BSA Goldstar is a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is mated to a five-speed gearbox. This motor churns out 45bhp and 55Nm. As for hardware, the motorcycle uses telescopic forks up front and twin springs at the rear with spoke wheels. Meanwhile, single discs at both ends and ABS are fitted as standard.
Well, the Indian launch details for the BSA Goldstar are yet to be revealed but we expect it to be introduced in the country sometime in 2024. It will go up against the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 here and in global markets.
