CFMoto has unveiled the production-spec iteration of its India-bound, fully-faired motorcycle, the 300SR. The motorcycle features a sporty design that’s complemented by premium hardware.
In terms of design, the CFMoto 300SR features a twin-pod, full-LED headlight that’s flanked by LED DRLs. The sleek design of the headlamp looks appealing. The turn indicators and taillight are also LED units. The sporty character of the vehicle is enhanced by a full fairing, clip-on handlebars, muscular fuel tank, split-style seats and an upswept tail section. The instrument cluster on the motorcycle is a full-colour TFT display that features two layouts- Sport and Rain. The motorcycle is currently listed with a single colour option – Nebula Black – on the company’s global website.
Engine specifications on the motorcycle comprise of a 292.4cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC motor that produces 28.7bhp at 8,750rpm and 25.3Nm at 7,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed transmission that benefits from a slipper clutch function. Surprisingly though, CFMoto has listed the engine as Euro4 compliant on its global website.
The hardware on the 250SR comprises of 37mm upside-down front forks and a cantilever type rear mono-shock to perform the shock absorption tasks. Braking setup includes single discs on both wheels.
The Indian launch details are yet to be announced, although we may see it in our market by late-2020 or early-2021. The motorcycle will rival the likes of TVS Apache RR310 and the KTM RC 200 in our market.
