The jury round of the Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2025 concluded at the famous Buddh International Circuit yesterday. This time, the jury voted on a total of 10 shortlisted motorcycles.
IMOTY is India’s most prestigious motorcycle award which has been recognising the best motorcycles that are made or assembled in India. Motorcycles that are launched between December 2023 and November 2024 are eligible for IMOTY 2025. The eligibility criteria also state that the deliveries of these new bikes should have commenced in major cities. But to make it to the top 10, motorcycles need to have certain aspects that talk about their relevance and their ability to set new benchmarks in the segment.
For IMOTY 2025, a total of 10 motorcycles made it to the final list. This includes the Aprilia RS457, Bajaj Freedom 125 NG04, Bajaj Pulsar N125, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, BSA Gold Star 650, Hero Mavrick 440, Hero Xtreme 125R, Royal Enfield Bear 650, Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 and the Triumph Speed T4.
As for the voting system, every jury member has 25 points to award. The maximum a jury member can give a motorcycle is 10 points. And the jury member must award points to at least five motorcycles. Also, the top two motorcycles cannot be awarded the same points, which means every jury member signals his or her clear winner.
