Indian Motorcycles recently unveiled its latest offering in the touring segment in the form of the Pursuit and you can read all about it here. It’s the American two-wheeler manufacturer’s most opulent workhorse. Let’s take a closer look at it through these detailed images.
Humongous would be an understatement to address the Indian Pursuit’s proportions. Its wide front fairing housing the LED headlight, insane amount of chrome on the motor, handlebar, mirrors and exhaust pipes, large top box and fixed side panniers; all add up to its extravagant road presence.
With touring being the primary focus here, comfort had to be a priority. As a result, it gets an expansive seat to accommodate both the rider and the pillion comfortably with adequate back support.
The Indian Pursuit is powered by a 1769cc liquid-cooled four-valve V-twin motor. It belts out 121bhp of peak power and a staggering 178Nm of torque. Getting things in motion is a six-speed gearbox.
Feature-wise too, it’s loaded with all the bells and whistles. Apart from the LED illumination all around, the Indian Pursuit also gets dual-analogue dials with an LCD insert, a seven-inch TFT screen, built-in audio, cruise control, keyless ignition, turn-by-turn navigation, Apple Carplay and more. It also gets an electronically adjustable windscreen for adequate wind protection.
It’s sprung by a 43mm USD fork and an electronically adjustable rear shock with height adjustability. Braking hardware consists of dual 320mm front discs and a 298mm rear single disc with dual-channel ABS.
The Indian Pursuit can hold up to 22.7 litres of fuel and tips the weighing scale at 413kg.
Not to mention, it gets an overall storage (panniers and top-box) capacity of 132 litres which should be enough for a few days of road trip.
Indian offers the Pursuit in four different trims: Dark Horse, Dark Horse with Premium Package, Limited and Limited with Premium Package.
Expect the base model to be priced at around Rs 28 lakh (ex-showroom) and make it to our market by the end of this year.
