Indian Motorcycle has silently launched their latest flagship touring motorcycle, the Roadmaster. The Roadmaster is priced at Rs 37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the most expensive Indian to be sold in the country.
The American manufacturer hasn’t sent us the official launch information, however, it has updated its official website with the price. Meant for touring, the Indian Roadmaster is the perfect comfort and luxury. The motorcycle gets a windshield which can be adjusted with a push of a button. It also gets heated rider and passenger seats with individual controls and high and low settings.
The features don’t just stop here. The handle grips also get heating function that can be adjusted using ten different settings. The Roadmaster gets weather proof storage space of almost 140 litres through saddlebags and trunk bag. The storage space can be locked using a remote, which is a convenient feature for the rider. The bike gets keyless entry and all the rider needs to do is keep the key inside the pocket and start the bike. If the rider misplaces the fob, he can use the individual security code that has been pre-programmed into the ignition. Just like the other Indians, the Roadmaster is powered by a Thunder Stroke 111 engine, which churns out around 161Nm at 3,000rpm.
The Indian Roadmaster competes with the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Special in the Indian market. The company will be selling this bike as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit through their Gurgaon showroom. The showrooms in Mumbai and Bangalore are expected to be operational soon.
