A few months ago, Bajaj confirmed its intentions to launch a range of KTM big bikes in India this fiscal year. These launches are likely to happen within a few weeks.
According to a few sources based out of Bengaluru, a KTM dealer or two have started taking unofficial bookings of a few KTM motorcycles. Most of the bookings have been done for the 890 Adventure R. However, there aren’t any official booking receipts which have been handed over to these buyers.
A few KTM showrooms have started going under renovation in certain cities. A famous Bengaluru KTM dealer – Popular Bajaj is likely to have the first set of big bikes on display, followed by deliveries. Bengaluru is the biggest bike market in India, so it makes sense for Bajaj to make a big bike debut there.
We believe the official launch of these bikes is likely to take place at 2024 India Bike Week. It was at IBW where the 790 Adventure was first showcased in India. So there’s a high chance of 2024 IBW seeing some of the finest Austrian bikes ever made.
