- Jawa 500cc Scrambler spotted
- Belongs to Czech-based Jawa’s portfolio
- India launch unlikely in the near future
The Jawa-badged scrambler that recently made a lot of netizens curious in India has been spotted once again. For the uninitiated, this is not an upcoming model from Classic Legends that sells Jawa motorcycles in India. Instead, it belongs to Czech-based Jawa Motorcycles’ which is a different entity and doesn’t have any connection with India-based Classic Legends. Well, we have written about this in detail and you can read it all here.
Coming to the bike, it is called the Jawa RVM 500 scrambler and as evident, boasts a pretty attractive neo-retro design. The front section integrates a round headlamp with aluminium-finished bezel and is crowned by a single-pod cluster. While sculpted fuel tank sports glossy red colour, the radiator cowl and under-seat brackets feature a contrast silver shade. Giving it a classic look are spoke wheels that are shod with block-pattern tyres. A pair of shotgun-style exhausts certainly looks neat.
The Jawa scrambler runs on a 471cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces around 47bhp of power and 43Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The job of soaking up undulations is handled by KYB suspension setup. Stopping power comes from petal-type double discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, both sourced from Nissin. It’s decently equipped with modern features including full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, a USB port, and dual-channel ABS.
