The iconic Jawa brand is scheduled to re-enter the Indian market tomorrow i.e; 15 November with three new motorcycles. The motorcycles will be sold by Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra.
Going by the teasers and spy images we know that the three motorcycles will be a scrambler, a bobber and a classic roadster. The brand had also earlier unveiled the powertrain of the upcoming bikes; a 293cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 27bhp and 28Nm of torque. To add to the motorcycle’s retro appeal, the company claims to have tuned the exhaust note to be reminiscent of the original bike.
While the pricing of the motorcycles has yet to be divulged, we expect the new Jawas to be priced between Rs 1.5 lakhs to Rs 1.7 lakhs. They brand will directly take on Royal Enfield’s highly popular 350cc motorcycles, the Classic 350, Bullet 350 and the Thunderbird 350. Furthermore, the UM Renegade range will also compete with the new Jawas in India.
