- Company to present at least three EVs by 2022
- Gets Z-series-inspired styling
Kawasaki has unveiled the production prototype of its electric motorcycle at the Intermot show 2022. The detailed timeline for the arrival of this motorcycle are not available yet. However, Hiroshi Ito, President, Kawasaki Motors confirmed that the company will present at least three electric vehicles globally by 2022.
Masaya Tsuruno, Managing Director, Kawasaki Motors Europe, added that the prototype that was on display at the motoring event would form the basis of an actual future production machine. Thus, the production-spec model will get a Z-series inspired styling that will bring a sharp headlight at the front, muscular design, split-style seat, and Y-shaped alloy wheels. The motorcycle will use telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks. Meanwhile, the braking setup includes petal-type disc brakes on both wheels.
The details about the motor and battery specifications are not available yet. However, we could hear an official announcement in the near future.
